Election Details
An election is to be held in the towns, villages, cities, wards, and election districts of the State of Wisconsin, Shawano County, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The following officers are to be elected.
Judicial Office candidates file with the Wisconsin Elections Commission in Madison. County Supervisor candidates file with the County Clerk. School district candidates file with the school district clerk. Municipal candidates file with the municipal clerk.
The first day to circulate nomination papers for state, county, school and municipal offices is December 1, 2025, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2026, with the appropriate jurisdiction clerk as listed.
A Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, with the appropriate jurisdiction clerk.
If an incumbent does not file a Notification of Non-Candidacy by 5 p.m., on December 26, 2025, and does not seek re-election, the deadline for filing nomination papers, Declaration of Candidacy, and Campaign Registration Statement will be extended an additional 72 hours or no later than 5 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the office of the clerk. The first day to circulate nomination papers is Monday, December 1, 2025, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. FILING REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICES THAT REQUIRE A CAUCUS:
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a caucus for the purpose of nominating candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices. The governing body shall between December 1, 2025, and January 1, 2026, determine the date of the caucus. The caucus will be held on a date not sooner than January 2, 2026, and not later than January 21, 2026. Notice of the scheduled date of the caucus will be given at least five days before the caucus.
PRIMARY ELECTION
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
