Town of Wittenberg's Animal Control Department services the following municipalities in Shawano County, WI:

Town of Wittenberg, Village of Wittenberg, Town of Birnamwood,

Town of Seneca, Village of Bowler & Town of Morris

Animal Control is responsible for capturing stray dogs within these municipalities to provide shelter, food and care until the owner(s) of the dog(s) can be located.

To help locate owner(s), all dogs picked up by Animal Control will be shared to this website.

If the dog's owner(s) cannot be located during the required 10 day holding period, the dog becomes property of the Town of Wittenberg and will then be transferred and available to the public for adoption through the Shawano County Humane Society.

Stray dog(s) found/seen within the above mentioned municipalities should be reported immediately to the Town of Wittenberg's dog catcher "Sydney" by calling (715) 460-5467
