Public Information Outreach for Robin Road Bridge Replacement over the Middle Branch of the Embarrass River in the Town of Wittenberg, Shawano County

Public information outreach to focus on introducing the proposed project and obtaining comments, concerns, or suggestions.

The Town of Wittenberg along with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is conducting this public involvement outreach to convey proposed project improvements for the bridge replacement on Robin Road over the middle branch of the Embarrass River between Liberty Drive and Birch Lane.

The public comment window will be open from May 1 through May 15, 2026. The objective of the outreach is to convey the proposed project improvements and to obtain comments, concerns, or suggestions.

The overall objectives of the project are to replace the structurally deficient bridge, reconstruct deteriorated roadway approaches, and widen the structure to meet current standards. Other improvements include relocating utilities, if necessary, during construction. The proposed improvements will be funded with 100 percent federal funding. The project is scheduled for construction in 2027.

Adjacent property owners are encouraged to submit comments.
