WEEKLY PICK-UP
The Town of Wittenberg's garbage and recycle pick-up day is every THURSDAY. If a legal holiday falls on any Monday (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc), the pick-up day will then be moved a day ahead, to Friday.
If you've recently moved into a new residence in the Town of Wittenberg and are in need of a Harter's Disposal garbage cart and/or recycle cart, please call the Town Clerk at (715)253-3222, or send an email to: [email protected].
Town residents are responsible for the cost to replace any carts if they are damaged beyond repair (unusable), lost or stolen. To order replacement garbage and/or recycle carts, please call Harter's Disposal at (888) 804-8556, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30pm.

Home owners: The charge for garbage pick-up will show on your annual property tax bill. If you have any questions, please call: Jasmine Wolff, Town Treasurer, at (715) 581-9158.
ELECTRONIC RECYCLING DAY - SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 2025 - 8am to 10am @ Town Hall Parking Lot
In the odd numbered years (2021, 2023, etc), the Town of Wittenberg will host an ELECTRONIC RECYCLING DAY at the Town Hall. This event is FREE to Town of Wittenberg residents only and is held in early summer. Watch our website for more information and what type of electronics are accepted on this day!
LARGE ITEM PICK-UP DAY- THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2025
Every Spring, the Town of Wittenberg has a LARGE ITEM PICK-UP DAY. Only household, landfillable items/garabge will be accepted. EX: Couch, dresser, table, cushions, wooden bed frames, chairs, end tables, rugs, plastic kid toys, etc. Please DO NOT put out any metal or steel items (grills, appliances, etc.) Watch our website for a complete list of acceptable large items, and more information!
